RRCU Gives and the ArkLaTex 100 Club are inviting the community to take on Steps of Service — 2,200 steps, 110 stories, one community — from September 1 through September 11, 2026.
Take the steps however they fit your day: a stairwell at work, the bleachers at a ball field, a treadmill, or a few flights at a time. On the morning of Friday, September 11, we finish together at the Pleasant Grove football field (Hawk Stadium) with a ceremonial community stair climb, a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., and the reveal of what we raised. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and the morning wraps up by 9:30.
Every dollar raised supports RRCU Gives and the ArkLaTex 100 Club, which provides financial relief within 72 hours to the surviving dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters who die in the line of duty in Bowie and Miller Counties, and funds unbudgeted but necessary life-saving equipment and training for local departments.
