Our Purpose

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

The sole purpose of the Arklatex 100 Club is to benefit our local police and firefighters in both Bowie and Miller Counties.

The goal of the Arklatex 100 Club is to raise funds for the dependents of our first responders lost in the line of duty.  Remaining funds will be used to purchase any unbudgeted but necessary life-saving equipment and additional training.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department has begun registration for this year’s National Night Out, which is scheduled for Tuesday, October 3, 2017. The hours of the event are 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen our community by encouraging neighbors to develop stronger relationships with each other and their law enforcement partners. Neighborhoods throughout Texarkana will be joining forces that evening to send a clear message to criminals that they are not welcome in our neighborhoods. Chief Dan Shiner encourages every resident to participate in this event. He said, “Participation is as easy as turning on your porch light, locking your doors, and spending time outside with your neighbors.” Residents that would like police officers and representatives from other City departments to attend their neighborhood party are asked to register their event online at www.texarkanapolice.net or by calling 903-798-3114 by September 29. All registered events will receive a National Night Out resource packet to help plan their event.
